Professional Interests

Here are some of the areas I'm interested in professional sense:

• Internet technology - currently I work with in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), as an Area Director for the Internet Area.
• Security technology. I have focused on network access security, but have occasionally looked at other topics as well, including application security mechanisms.
• Mobile and wireless Internet in its various forms: IP mobility mechanisms, making Internet protocols work well over wireless, wireless network access protocols, etc.
• Some of my earlier interests include software testing, distributed systems, and formal specification.
